You surely don’t want to count calories when sharing special moments with your loved one!

Valentine’s Day is tomorrow and what better than sharing special moments with your loved one without having to care about the calories and it’s harsh reality on your weight.

I swear by these brownies as they are simple to make with easily available ingredients and taste very close to their classic counterparts minus the calories. Do you know how many calories are in 1 piece of regular brownie and how many in these? After I reveal that to you, it would be wise of you to give these a try alteast once 😉

There are about 270 – 300 calories in a single 2″ piece of classic brownie whereas the same weight of these No Bake, Vegan Brownies have only 150 – 170 kcals. Now, does this convince you to step in to the kitchen and reach out for ingredients.

Here are the details of the recipe.

Ingredients

Pitted Dates – 1 cup

Unsalted Almonds – 1/2 cup

Walnuts – 1/2  cup

Vanilla essence – a drop (optional)

Flaxmeal – 1 tbsp

Cacao / Cocoa powder – 1/2 cup

Instructions

Blend the nuts in a food processor and gradually add dates 1 by 1 while the nuts are processed.

When all the dates have been processed, then add cocoa powder and vanilla essence.

You will see a rough ball forming in the processor.

Remove the date mixture from the processor.

Line a brownie baking tray with parchment paper and spread the dates mixture evenly on the tray. Press the mixture well so that the brownies hold together.

Refrigerate for an hour. Remove and sprinkle cocoa powder on the spread date mixture. Cut them them in desired shapes and sizes.
